Celebrating One Year of Inclusive United CIC!

One year ago today, we kicked off our inclusive sports sessions at Inclusive United Community Interest Company, and what a journey it has been! Read our Impact Report for year one here. We delivered over 220 inclusive sports sessions between September 2023 and the end of August 2024 and the impact has been far reaching.

After officially incorporating the Community Interest Company on June 26th, 2023, we launched our first inclusive football and multi-sports sessions on September 18th, 2023, at Grovehill Adventure Playground in Hemel Hempstead.

By October, we introduced indoor futsal sessions, which quickly became a hit! We also provided a supported internship placement at one of these sessions, highlighting our commitment to offering meaningful opportunities.

Our inclusive wellbeing sessions, inspired by yoga and pilates, have also been well-received, offering participants a calm and healthy environment to nurture both body and mind.

We are proud to have created a safe and supportive space for female coaches to grow their skills while also offering work experience to individuals with aspirations to work in sport.

Over the past year, our sessions for young adults with learning disabilities, neurodiversity, additional needs and special educational needs, have provided much-needed opportunities for fun, inclusive sports during the week. These sessions help participants stay fit, reduce social isolation, boost mental wellbeing, and form lasting friendships. It's fantastic to hear that some of our participants got together to go to a football match recently for instance and we’ve been thrilled to see some of our participants gain work experience opportunities through being involved with our sessions.

As we look ahead, we remain committed to growing Inclusive United CIC and expanding our offerings to support underrepresented groups.

Thank you to our sponsors Rapid Electrical, CGI and Highfield Wealth for supporting our inclusive sports sessions and to all the organisations that have helped us with funding, mentoring and support.

We rely on funding from companies and national and local funding schemes to continue our mission. If you or your organisation can assist, please get in touch. Your support goes a long way in helping us make a real difference.

Join us in our journey as we continue to expand into new areas. To get involved or attend our sessions, visit www.inclusiveunited.co.uk.

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported us during our first year. Your kindness and generosity have helped us build something truly special!
